verntic, the legal business name of the seller, trading as "VERNTIC" ("we"), runs this website and is the data controller for the personal data described here. That means we decide how and why your data is used. You can reach us through this website.

What we collect and why

• Account details — email address, name and profile picture (if you sign in with Google) and login credentials. Used to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Searches and activity — what you search for, AI chat messages, scan history, saved deals and credit balance. Used to provide the service and show your dashboard. Legal basis: contract.
• Subscription status — your plan and its status, received from our payment reseller. Used to give you the right credits. Legal basis: contract.
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and error logs. Used for security, fraud prevention and fixing problems. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — anything you send us. Used to help you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Card and payment details are collected directly by Paddle, not by us.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who host the site and database, provide AI processing and run web searches, only as needed to operate VERNTIC.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling subscriptions, managing billing and payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
• Authorities where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. When it is closed, or data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, except where we must keep records by law (for example tax records).

Your rights

Under UK and EU GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. We will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and row-level permissions so each user can only see their own data.

Cookies

We only use essential storage needed to keep you signed in and to run checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser, but you will be signed out.
